Basic FunctionImricor's summer internship program blends real-world experience with an extensive overview of the medical device industry in an innovative and fast-paced environment. Knowledgeable engineers and technicians will provide guidance as you gain professional hands-on experience in all the facets required to bring a medical device to market. These positions are responsible for complying with the Quality System requirements and carrying out responsibilities outlined in the environmental, health, and safety policies.Location: Must be available to work at the Burnsville, MN officeCompensation: The expected base hourly wage for this Minnesota-based position is $24-25. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's knowledge, skills, and or experience.Apply Now →ResponsibilitiesSupports and takes directions from engineers and technicians on day-to-day responsivities and project work.Supports assembly and rework of engineering prototypes during product development.Carries out elements of electrical and mechanical engineering analysis and device testing to support various feasibility and verification activities.Aides with the composition of test plans and reports.Learns to use and employ computer-aided design for the creation of fixturing and prototypes.Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.QualificationsApplicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field. Preference given to candidates entering Junior or Senior year.Experience with analog circuit design and electrical measurements such as using oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and signal generators is desired (Electrical Engineer Interns only).Familiarity with programming languages, such as Matlab, C, and Arduino, a plus (Electrical Engineer Interns only).Ability to effectively and clearly communicate concepts, ideas, and knowledge to other individuals and teams.Strong attention to detail, including analytical and problem-solving skills.Comfortable working with team members in other departments, such as clinical and operations.A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to carry out all manners of tasks, from the mundane to complex and challenging.Apply Now →
