Program Manager

Role: Program ManagerHybrid Role in Vienna, VAJD:To manage, influence, and lead the development direction and optimal performance of business unit program initiatives. This role applies strategic thinking to connect program work to enterprise and business unit priorities, supports goal setting by helping draft and align OKRs, KPIs, and short- and long-term objectives, and stays current on emerging technology trends, including AI, to identify opportunities that improve program delivery, decision-making, and business outcomes. Develop, implement, evaluate, and lead users to comply with best practices to ensure timely and effective program delivery and administration. Manage and facilitate implementation and coordination of multiple, large, and highly complex programs that affect and involve business unit activities. Ensure management review of initiatives from concept through planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition phases. Create, design, and manage program deliverables and solutions on schedule and within scope and budget.ResponsibilitiesConsult with leadership and business partners to translate strategic priorities into clear program goals, draft and align OKRs, define KPIs, and establish short- and long-term objectives, initiatives, and action plans.Apply strategic thinking to assess program opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs, connect work to business outcomes, and recommend approaches that support organizational priorities.Stay current on emerging technology trends, including AI and automation, and identify practical opportunities to improve program delivery, operational effectiveness, team experiences, and decision-making.Review program-related data using performance measurements and indicators to identify areas for improvement and potential risk; develop action plans and lead change management.Analyze overall program effectiveness; identify and address areas of opportunity and make recommendations.Identify and collaborate with management regarding current and future program needs and trends based on feedback.Identify, scope, document, coordinate, and implement business solution requirements in accordance with program and project goals.Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis using analytical techniques, tools, models, simulation, and related methods.Direct and lead work by developing and coordinating work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and training.Manage program budgets, including risks and impacts associated with changes to program plans.Identify and minimize risks or constraints that could impact program deliverables.Identify, communicate, and resolve cross-organizational areas of concern that may impede or impact programs, projects, or initiatives.Maintain and archive program documentation.Ensure program deliverables are completed in accordance with expectations.Prioritize and delegate assignments, including project analysis, requirements definition, and implementation of program modifications and enhancements.Develop action plans for conducting internal analyses and collaborate with business partners to identify root causes and establish solutions.Manage multiple, large, and highly complex programs.Serve on teams and task groups for programs or initiatives of significant organizational impact.Ensure effective initiative management from inception through implementation.Mentor team members to ensure cooperation and consistent application of policies and procedures.Participate in developing, modifying, and executing organizational policies, standards, and processes.Provide guidance on issues having department- or organization-wide impact.Work on complex issues requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and competing priorities.Solve highly technical and complex problems.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsWorking knowledge of strategy execution frameworks (OKRs, Balanced Scorecard, Hoshin Planning, or similar methodologies).Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, automation technologies, and emerging technology trends.Experience translating strategic objectives into executable roadmaps, programs, and measurable business outcomes.Significant experience in workflow and program development, including requirements documents, procedures, and implementation plans.Extensive experience managing multiple initiatives while adapting to changing requirements and priorities.Extensive experience collaborating across organizational boundaries and building partnerships across various functions.Significant experience leading, training, guiding, and mentoring others.Extensive experience working with leadership and management in diverse and complex operational environments.Expert project management skills, including establishing and leading project teams, managing timelines/deadlines/resources, and ensuring successful implementation.Expert planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Expert ability to identify and analyze business requirements and recommend solutions.Expert innovative thinking skills to solve problems and facilitate decision-making.Expert verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts to all levels of audiences.Expert analytical thinking skills, including summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results, or relationships.Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.Desired QualificationsLean Portfolio Management (LPM) certification or experience applying portfolio prioritization and strategic planning practices.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.Working knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, industry regulations, principles, practices, and organizational policies governing products and services.
