Job OpportunityDeliver natural and conventional merchandise to various independent retail customers.Find out exactly what skills, experience, and qualifications you will need to succeed in this role before applying below.Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Ensure compliance with company procedures as outlined in UNFI Drivers' Handbook and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (DOT)Perform required vehicle safety inspections before, during and after dispatchComply with federal hours of service requirementsCorrectly execute daily log and trip reportImmediately report all accidents involving company equipment to appropriate managerComply with Federal and State mandated traffic laws and established company safety proceduresMaintain basic familiarity and compliance with FMCS regulationsMaintain schedule of deliveries per dispatch instructionsJob Requirements:Valid Class A CDL licenseMinimum of 1 year of tractor trailer driving experienceClean driver record.Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidaysGood customer service skillsAbility to sit for long periods of timeAbility to lift cases weighing up to 95 pounds in customer assist deliveriesGood judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.UNFI is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment for all.
