Our positions are full-time, year-around employment with paid training.We offer:5 Days of PTO6 Paid HolidaysUp to 50% of health insurance premiums paid by ImpactAccess to a retirement plan, financial fitness, and employee savings programsShifts: 1st shift - Mon-Thurs 6am-4pm3rd shift - Mon - Thurs 7:30pm-5:30amWeekend Days - Fri-Sun 6am-6pm (For Weekend Shift: work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours)Weekend Nights - Fri - Sun 6pm-6am (For Weekend Shift: work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours)Manufacturing Assembler Job Summary:Assembler 1 manufactures and assembles a variety of configurations of mechanical and basic electrical assemblies used in electrical distribution systems.Job Duties:Interpret shop drawings and wiring diagramsAnalyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify component parts and assembly sequences for electromechanical unitsMake electrical connections per specificationsAssemble parts, position, align, and fasten assemblies and subassemblies using hand and power toolsModify parts using drilling, tapping, and countersinking techniques with machine tools and pneumatic hand toolsEnsure proper fit and assembly by positioning, aligning, and adjusting partsMeasure parts for tolerances using tape measures and precision instruments like micrometers and calipersLabel and mark parts with identifying informationComply with all company policies, guidelines, and SECRIT valuesCross training to work in other functional department of the plantOther duties as assigned by management.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Tool selection - determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.Ability to operate cordless hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.Ability to read shop drawings and wiring diagrams preferred.Ability to read standard tape measure.Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. often.Finger Dexterity: The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.Arm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to keep hand and arm steady while moving arm or while holding arm and hand in one position.Vision: The ability to see details at a close range and have the ability to tell the difference in the colors of wires.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentOne year of experience in manufacturing preferredEOEThank you for your interest in Impact Workforce Solutions, we are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and participate in the E-Verify eligibility confirmation program.Powered by JazzHR
