Job TitleSolutions EngineerJob DescriptionThe Solutions Engineer (SE) will serve as a regional technical expert and product portfolio manager for assigned technologies in the Americas. Acting as a strategic liaison between regional teams and Global Headquarters, the SE will gather market feedback, competitive insights, and customer needs to inform product development. This role bridges R&D, sales, and support - from early product inception through launch, implementation, and next-generation iterations. SEs deliver deep technical expertise to customers and internal teams through content creation, training, pre-sales support, thought leadership, and field engagement, while continuously feeding market intelligence back into product roadmaps.What you’ll do here as Solutions Engineer?Collect and synthesize market trends and customer feedback, use cases, and feature requests to inform global product roadmap prioritiesOperate as subject matter expert on assigned technology features and capabilitiesSupport the creation and distribution of technical content within the AmericasAnalyze portfolio sales performance, feature releases, and market trends to inform regional strategyUnderstand competitive landscape on assigned technologiesSupport pre-sales and professional services activities, including field work and visitsSupport pilots and proof of concept implementations when relevantRepresent Axis at both internal and external speaking opportunities when appropriateWork in lock step with product marketing and Academy to assist with messaging around technologies for the local marketAct as a technical liaison for Area Technical teams; assisting with technical knowledge transfer and supporting large or complex pre-sales projectsWho are we looking for/Who are you?Ability to balance technical aptitude with business acumenCreativity, curiosity and passion for technologyStrategic, analytical, inquiring and critical thought processCapacity to work with all levels of managementConscience of deadlines with strong organizational skillsDetailed problem solvingDrive, determination and self-disciplined approach to achieving resultsProfessional etiquettePassion for presenting and telling stories through content creationWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills, strong presentation skillsWork collaboratively within the organizationTechnical depth in IP networking, video transport, and surveillance systemsWe'd love to hear that you have/are:Experience with computer networking infrastructure technologiesKnowledge of video transport streaming protocols and compression technologiesExperience in IP Networking covering LAN and WAN hardware (routers, firewalls etc.) configuration, low level protocol knowledge (RTP, TCP/IP, UDP) and experience with IGMP and multicasting5+ years’ experience in physical security industryB.S. degree in computer science or related field preferredLocation & Travel:This role is based in our Chelmsford, MA office; remote consideration for the right candidate living proximate to an international airport and willing to perform job responsibilities during Eastern Time Zone business hours. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to travel, including internationally, up to a maximum of 50%.Physical demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Employee is occasionally required to lift 15-20 lbs.Travel is required for this position up to 50% of the time.Target Salary:The approximate pay range for this role is $125,000 - $135,000 annually. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
