About the job CNC MachinistCNC MACHINIST - $17/HrHours: 8:00a - 4:30P (Monday - Friday)Responsibilities:Analyzing specification charts, samples and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirementsDeveloping a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specificationsMeasuring and marking raw materials needed to manufacture partsSetting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing planOperating equipment to carry out each step correctlyMonitoring the production process and intervening when problems ariseInspecting finished parts for flaws and defectsMaintaining equipment located throughout the machine shopQualifications:Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery used for computer-aided manufacturingKnowledge of how to operate grinders, lathes and milling machinesMath skills to take precise measurements and make calculationsDemonstrated oral and written communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specificationsProblem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing processAbility to move roughly 50 to 75 pounds and remain stationary throughout a shiftMust have at least 2 yrs experienceUnderstanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
