OverviewK2’s Security Solutions Group (SSG) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support aviation security and construction-based security systems integration projects. This role supports projects in regulated environments such as airports and other critical infrastructure facilities, assisting with planning, coordination, documentation, and on-site execution.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career project professional interested in aviation security, construction, and systems integration work.Responsibilities Support the full lifecycle of aviation security and construction-focused security integration projectsAssist with site validations and implementation planning in active airport and secure construction environmentsDevelop and maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with SSG and PMO standardsSupport development and tracking of project scope, schedules, and budgetsCoordinate with vendors and subcontractors supporting security and construction scopes of workInterface with client contacts regarding site operations, construction sequencing, and security requirementsSupport punch list completion and project closeout activitiesPerform and manage on-site and warehouse inventory of security and construction-related equipmentParticipate in project coordination calls, trainings, and department meetingsAdhere to site safety policies, OSHA regulations, and secure facility access requirementsQualificationsAssociate degree or trade certification required; Bachelor’s degree preferredExposure to aviation, airport operations, security systems, or construction projects preferredKnowledge of construction practices and processes in regulated or mission-critical environmentsCustomer service–driven and able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and the PMOAbility to multitask and work independently in fast-paced field environmentsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)Strong commitment to quality, integrity, and safetyAdditional DetailsTravel: Frequent domestic travel Physical Requirements: Active role requiring standing, climbing, lifting, and movement within construction and operational aviation environments
