Estimator - Bridge/Structural

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Bridge / Structural Estimator to support the pursuit and delivery of heavy highway and bridge construction projects in the Kansas City Area. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex structural work, collaborating closely with operations, engineering, and leadership teams.The ideal candidate has a strong background in bridge and structural estimating, understands DOT project requirements, and is comfortable working on large-scale infrastructure projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for bridge and structural components, including concrete, steel, formwork, and earthworkReview plans, specifications, and contract documents to assess scope, risks, and constructabilityPerform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractorsCoordinate with project management, field operations, and engineering during bid preparationEvaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes and assist in bid levelingParticipate in bid reviews, value engineering, and cost-risk analysisSupport handoff of successful bids to project teamsQualifications2+ years of experience estimating bridge and structural heavy civil projectsStrong understanding of DOT standards, specifications, and bid processesExperience with concrete and steel bridge structures preferredProficiency with estimating software and Microsoft ExcelAbility to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsWhy This RoleThis position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile transportation and bridge projects, collaborate with experienced construction professionals, and contribute directly to the success of major infrastructure work.
