Data Analytics Engineer with Cognos & PythonContract to hireRemoteWe are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer who can work across both data engineering and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, data modeling, dashboards, and data troubleshooting, along with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable analytics solutions.Required Skills & Experience:2+ years of hands-on Python experience.Strong experience with SQL and at least one SQL dialect.Hands-on experience building modern dashboards and data visualizations.Cognos preferred; Tableau acceptable.Experience with Power BI, Streamlit, or similar visualization tools is a plus.Experience translating stakeholder/business requirements into:MetricsAnalytical data modelsDashboardsTechnical implementation plansExperience designing data models for reporting and analytics.Experience analyzing and troubleshooting data across multiple processing layers.Experience working with both structured and unstructured data.Strong documentation and communication skills.Ability to balance feature development with production/operational support.Ability and willingness to quickly learn new tools within a Microsoft environment.
