Registered Behavioral Technician
Job Title Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Under the supervision of the Education Specialist and Director of Student Services, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides behavior support services to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. The RBT works directly with students to support positive behavior, increase access to the general education curriculum, and help implement supports outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This role involves working with students whose behaviors impact their educational experience and collaborating with staff to promote a safe and supportive learning environment. The RBT may provide services in Spanish and perform related duties as assigned. Duties include: Assist teachers by working with individual students on a one-to-one basis Implementation of a behavior intervention plan 1:1 instruction delivered in a separate setting Implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans Implementation or Behavior Crisis Plan and management of behavioral escalation Behavior Data Collection Toileting and hygiene support Attending to student medical needs Licenses and certificates: Active Registered Behavior Technician Certificate CPR certification is desirable Essential job requirements - qualifications: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an RBT Bilingual-Spanish Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school personnel and students, perform a variety of complex tasks, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, carry out instructions, and prepare reports as required Knowledge of correct language usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation California state law requires that all personnel working in an instructional setting must demonstrate proficiency in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics An Associate's degree (or higher); or 48 or more eligible units of coursework Application materials: Cover letter Resume 3 letters of recommendation The EDJOIN online application is not being used with this posting.
