Clinical Pharmacist - Ambulatory - Outpatient
Overview: The Pharmacist I, Ambulatory (Retail/Specialty/Clinic) prepares and dispenses prescribed medications to patients in the community setting. This role educates patients, supervises pharmacy technicians and operates under the general supervision of a pharmacist manager.Talent Pool: Allied HealthResponsibilitiesInterprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient.Oversees and verifies prescription order entry, packaging and dispensing.Provides and monitors drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public.Supervises and evaluates pharmacy technicians against the established goals of the department and larger hospital.Provides other clinical services as necessary to facilitate patient care.Performs Other Duties As Reasonably Required Or Assigned. QualificationsEDUCATION:Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or BSPharmEXPERIENCE:Required: 1 yearLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:Registered Pharmacist in NCBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
