Accounting Manager
Position OverviewIn this role, you will lead a team responsible for accounting operations within a key business segment, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting while supporting ongoing business needs. This is a highly collaborative role with an emphasis on review, oversight, and team development.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide process leadership for a team responsible for accounting operations within a defined business segmentPerform and oversee detailed reviews of journal entries, account reconciliations, audit deliverables, and supporting workpapersEnsure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal controls and accounting standardsCoach, mentor, and support team members, fostering professional growth, technical expertise, and strong attention to detailPartner cross-functionally with stakeholders across accounting, finance, operations, and other business teamsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives that drive efficiency and operational excellenceServe as a fresh, objective perspective to help enhance workflows and strengthen team performanceSupport internal, external, and compliance audits by ensuring proper documentation and maintaining a strong control environmentQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated experience reviewing accounting workpapers and maintaining a strong internal control frameworkPrior management or team leadership experience, including mentoring and coaching team membersAbility to promote accuracy, attention to detail, and high-quality deliverables across a teamStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plusCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSHourly contract rate range of $60.00 to $68.00 based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.Your well-being is important to Wimmer Solutions.
