.*Data Engineering & Governance Manager* *Location: *Denton, TX *Schedule: *Monday–Friday, daytime hours *Work Arrangement: *100% Onsite *Contract: *6-Month Contract-to-Hire *Work Authorization: *Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. *About the Role* We are seeking a Data Engineering & Governance Manager to lead a growing data team while providing technical leadership and driving data governance initiatives across the organization. This is a hands-on manager role. We are looking for someone who has strong data engineering experience, has successfully led teams, and has practical experience developing and implementing data governance policies, standards, and processes. The position reports to the Executive Director, Enterprise Data & AI and will initially manage a team of five data and integration professionals. *What You'll Do* * Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to a team of data engineers, integration engineers, DBA, and data analyst. * Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, standards, and best practices. * Establish data standards and governance processes across the organization. * Partner with business and technical teams to improve data quality, consistency, ownership, and accessibility. * Provide technical leadership for data integration, ETL/ELT, databases, and data engineering initiatives. * Review technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and step in with hands-on support when needed. * Help define data ownership, stewardship, and governance responsibilities. * Support the growth and development of the organization's data engineering and governance capabilities. *What We're Looking For* * 10+ years of overall IT/data experience. * 3+ years of management or team leadership experience. * Approximately 5–6 years of hands-on technical experience in data engineering, integration, databases, or a related field. * Demonstrated experience creating and implementing data governance policies, procedures, standards, or frameworks. * Strong understanding of data quality, data standards, metadata, data stewardship, and data governance. * Ability to lead technical professionals while understanding and contributing to the technical work. * Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. *Required Experience* * Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) * SSIS * Oracle Cloud * ETL/ELT and enterprise data integration * SQL/database technologies * Ellucian Colleague — highly valued * Higher education experience * Experience with Texas DIR/Texas Administrative Code, HIPAA, SOX, or similar compliance requirements _GTS Technology Solutions, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
