divh2Job Title/h2pTransporting special needs students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions/ppEnsuring vehicle is in safe operating condition/ppEnsuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses/ppAdvises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior/ppAssesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations/ppAssists Bus Assistant, students and other passengers/ppAttends meetings, trainings, etc./ppCleans assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior/ppConducts emergency evacuation drills/ppDrives school bus/s/ppFuels assigned vehicle, (e.g. oil, water, fuel, etc.)/ppPerforms pre-trip and post-trip inspections, (e.g. fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition, etc.)/ppPrepares documents and reports, (e.g. field trip reports, incident reports, inspection records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, MIPS forms, etc.)/ppReports observations and/or incidents, (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, health, etc.)/ppResponds to inquires, (e.g. students, parents, other school personnel, etc.)/ppSupervises students and other passengers during transit/ppAssists other personnel as may be required/ppExperience is desired. Full time with benefits - 25-40 hrs. per week. $15.25 per hour - depending on experience; w/certificate. The District trains new bus drivers./ppQualifications - Alcohol and drug test, pre-placement physical exam, criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance, random drug testing./ppThis is a 10 month school year position only./p/div
