This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art cancer and blood disorders center, providing specialized care to pediatric patients.RequirementsCA RN License: Must be in hand or pending with clear ETAs of when it will be active.Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent pediatric hem/onc inpatient or outpatient experience. Children's hospital experience is preferred but not required.Skills: Central Line experience and IV start proficiency.Certifications: BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and APHON.Start Date: ASAPShift/Hours4x10 Variable Days (Mon-Fri - Varied start times, but mostly 0800-1830 and 0900-1930)Requested Time OffMaximum of 6 daysThe clinic closed on July 4th and Labor DayUnit SummaryPatient Population: Average 60 to 80 patients per day. Blood and Marrow Transplantation.Oncology: Neuroblastoma, anemia, leukemia/lymphoma, solid tumor, brain tumor.Hematology: Hemophilia/ITP/sickle cell anemia.Skills: IV therapy, sedation recovery for lumbar puncture and bone marrow aspirate procedures/central lines, administration of blood products, biologics, and chemotherapeutic agents.Facility: The entire cancer and blood disorders center, including the Viterbi Outpatient Clinic, is housed at the Acute Care Pavilion. It features 38 private rooms and advanced HEPA filtration for infection control. Patients can enjoy Carley's Magical Garden, a therapeutic and interactive space designed for children.
