Senior Maintenance Technician

The primary purpose of this position is to perform a wide range of functions such as installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. This position will handle complex technical work including electrical, controls and other advanced manufacturing technologies. Daily work will include preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks. May use CAD software and assist with blueprints and tool designFamiliar with industrial equipment controls and capable of diagnosing and repairing PLC‑related issuesModifies existing equipment or processes to improve operation. Works in cooperation with manufacturing engineers and may participate in other production and assembly duties to ensure manufacturing floor flowAssist manufacturing engineers in the qualification, debugging, and repair of equipmentSource and purchase components and parts for preventative and corrective maintenance tasksMachine and/or modify mechanical components and fixturing for production useActs as the liaison and point of contact for service contractors and vendorsEnsures appropriate functionality, and operation of semi-automated systemsMonitors performance of equipment, machines and tools and correct equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issuesMay train peers on technical repairs, maintenance, and set-up of production equipmentDocuments tasks, PM results and/or corrective actions in CMMSOther duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School/Vocational Tech Degree RequiredAssociate’s Degree in related engineering or technical field preferredMinimum of 5 years experience in a maintenance and/or technician positionAnalytical Trouble Shooting Ability to read technical drawings/prints Technical writing skills Strong mechanical/technical aptitudeComputer skills as required by stated functionsHigh level of initiative and strong work ethic
