Junior HVAC Technician (Entry-Level HVAC / Maintenance Technician)Apartment Services, Inc.Full-Time | Travel Between Properties Required | On-Call Rotation May Be RequiredJob Overview: Apartment Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Junior HVAC Technician to support our Service & Maintenance team. This entry-level HVAC position is ideal for someone looking to build a career in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) while gaining hands-on experience working alongside experienced technicians. In this role, you will assist with HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, system maintenance, and equipment installation across multiple apartment communities. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, trade school training, or early HVAC experience who wants to grow their technical skills in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with diagnosing issues in HVAC systems including heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipmentSupport the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC units, including condensers, air handlers, thermostats, and ductworkPerform preventive HVAC maintenance, including filter changes, system inspections, and basic servicingAssist with HVAC troubleshooting and system diagnostics under the supervision of senior techniciansLearn to read and interpret HVAC wiring diagrams, schematics, and system layoutsRespond to maintenance service requests and HVAC work orders at assigned propertiesMaintain and organize HVAC tools, parts inventory, and maintenance equipmentDocument completed work orders and service reports accuratelyAssist senior technicians with emergency HVAC repairs and maintenance callsFollow all company safety procedures, maintenance protocols, and Fair Housing regulationsMaintain proper key control and property security proceduresAssist with property maintenance support tasks when neededParticipate in snow removal, salting, and winter weather responseParticipate in an on-call maintenance rotation as assignedTravel between properties to support HVAC repairs and maintenance operationsQualificationsEntry-level HVAC experience, trade school training, or mechanical experience preferredBasic understanding of heating, cooling, and ventilation systemsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to learn HVAC diagnostics, repair techniques, and preventive maintenance proceduresExperience using hand tools and power toolsStrong communication, organization, and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRequirementsCFC / EPA Certification preferred or willingness to obtainValid driver's license requiredReliable vehicle required for travel between properties during scheduled shiftsAbility to lift 50 pounds or moreAbility to climb ladders, stairs, bend, kneel, and work in confined spacesAbility to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, and varying weather conditionsAbility to perform physically demanding work including prolonged standing, walking, and liftingReliable phone number and email for communicationBenefits offered:Transportation AllowancePhone AllowanceCompany-Provided Cell Phone8 Paid HolidaysPaid Funeral Leave & Jury Duty LeaveHealth Benefits (eligible 1st of month after 60 days):Medical, Dental & Vision InsuranceEmployer-paid Life InsuranceVoluntary Life Insurance optionsShort-Term & Long-Term DisabilityFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Retirement (eligible after 3 months, age 21+):Traditional & Roth 401(k) optionsAdditional Perks:Employee Recognition ProgramDiscounted Housing (more information available at interview)
