This role partners closely with marketing, analytics, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver actionable consumer insights across the customer experience journey. The researcher will independently manage end-to-end research projects, translate complex data into clear narratives, and inform corporate marketing strategies through rigorous qualitative and quantitative research.The BasicsDuration: 6-month assignment with strong potential for extensionHours: 40 hours per weekLocation: Onsite five days per week in a northern New Jersey office (nonnegotiable) Top 3 Required QualificationsDemonstrated experience leading primary and secondary market research, applying both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to analyze consumer behavior and generate actionable insights that inform business decisions.Proven analytical capability, including strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with hands-on experience interpreting data, building dashboards or reports, and translating findings into clear, compelling stories for business audiences.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering effectively with cross-functional teams and presenting insights to stakeholders at multiple levels to drive alignment and action.Other Qualifications5+ years of experience in market research, marketing, product management, sales, or a related field focused on consumer insightsElectronics or mobile industry research experience strongly preferred; CPG research experience required if electronics experience is not presentDeep understanding of current research and analytical techniques, including brand health, usage and attitude, concept testing, and post-purchase researchExperience synthesizing syndicated and secondary research into clear business perspectivesBachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, product management, sales, or a related fieldBonus: experience with syndicated tools (for example, Nielsen or NPD), eCommerce research, Tableau visualization, DIY research platforms, or a related master's degreeKey ResponsibilitiesPartner with business and marketing teams to understand consumer usage, behaviors, and needs across the customer experience journey.Plan, manage, and execute end-to-end research projects, including developing research briefs, selecting methodologies, managing vendors, overseeing fieldwork, and ensuring data quality.Conduct and synthesize primary research, including qualitative and quantitative studies, as well as analyze secondary and syndicated data to address defined business questions.Analyze CRM dashboards and consumer data to support improvements in CRM programs and marketing effectiveness.Produce trends analyses, weekly social listening reports, and competitor insights tied to key corporate marketing initiatives.Develop clear, insight-driven presentations in PowerPoint that communicate findings, implications, and actionable recommendations within required timelines.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
