Reporting to the Marketing Coordinator, the Shipping Specialist owns all things logistics - coordinating product shipments to sales teams, marketing events, retail partners, agencies, and customers. You'll make sure every order goes out accurately, on time, and cost-effectively across JuneShine Brand's Operations. If you're someone who takes pride in running a tight ship and thrives on the satisfaction of flawless execution, look no further.Please note, This is a part time, hourly position (10-20 hours per week).Who You Are: A self-directed problem-solver who thrives working independently and takes full ownership of your responsibilitiesHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple shipping priorities without constant oversightDetail-oriented and safety-conscious, with the ability to make quick decisions to keep operations running smoothlyDriven to find efficient solutions and optimize processesSomeone who takes pride in ensuring every shipment meets JuneShine Brands' quality standardsWhat You'll Do: Product & Event Material Shipments:Build, pack, and fulfill all product requests including samples for sales and marketing teams, new product launches, and promotional materialsEnsure all shipped products have updated labels and meet quality standardsCreate shipping labels in carrier platforms for all shipments including lab samples, packaging, marketing materials, and miscellaneous requestsCommunicate shipping timelines and tracking information to internal teamsMaintain relationships with carriers and recipients to resolve address changes, delivery issues, and shipping concernsWarehouse & Shipping Inventory Management:Maintain adequate stock of shipping supplies including boxes, tape, packaging materials, and labelsConduct regular inventory counts of shipping supplies and products ready for shipmentMonitor and organize warehouse shipping areas for efficient operationsReceive and process returned shipments, coordinating with appropriate teams for resolutionProcess Optimization & Cost Management:Analyze shipping costs and develop strategies to optimize expenses while maintaining service qualityResearch and evaluate new shipping methods, carriers, and technologies to improve efficiencyTrack and report on shipping metrics including costs, delivery times, and issue resolutionAdministrative Support:Process shipping-related paperwork and maintain accurate recordsCoordinate with internal teams on shipping schedules and special delivery requirementsHandle shipping-related inquiries and support urgent or expedited requests as neededAssist with various marketing tasks as neededMust Have's: Age 21 or older at the time of applicationMust be able to work an average of 1020 hours per week, focused at the beginning of the weekExperience with shipping software and carrier platformsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize safety in a warehouse environmentAble to stand, walk, and be on feet for prolonged periods (up to 10+ hours)Able to work in a production environment that may be loud, humid, cold, and hotAble to regularly lift, carry, twist, turn, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, and handle supplies and equipment weighing up to 35 poundsMust be based in San Diego with reliable transportation and must have the ability to travel locallyCompensation + Perks Compensation: Part Time, Hourly (non-exempt)$24.50 - $26.00 per hourMileage covered for travelAdditional Perks:Paid sick leave in accordance with state and local laws401k with 4% company matchBooch, Spirit, and Soft Good PerksAnd so much more!Who We Are Our Purpose: To make quality, purpose-driven beveragesOur Business: Our vision is to create the next-generation beverage platform, comprising distinct brands, each with its own ethos and purpose.
