The Bakery Associate is responsible for packaging, pricing and labeling bakery products for the case and the sales floor, ensuring shelves are stocked and rotated and the department is clean and well organized.We will treat every customer like a beloved family member or friend and find a way to say "yes" to our customers. It's important that we engage with every customer that enters our store, and follow the 10/4 rule. At the end of any interaction with a customer, we will offer a sincere "Thank you for your business!"We will seek product knowledge and commit to quality by believing in the Sendik's brand.Nimbleness: Provide great solutions for our customers by exploring all possibilities and welcoming change. We will be quick to respond to our customers and use "Red Truck Service" when additional assistance is needed.Work ExperienceServe customers in the Bakery Department while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their businessAnswer questions regarding bakery products and ingredientsAssist customers in selecting bakery products and offer suggestions as neededFill and maintain the bakery casePackage, price and label items for the sales floorStock and rotate bakery products on the sales floorTake and fulfill bakery orders via phone and in personComplete daily cleaning duties in the Bakery DepartmentAssist Bakers with pouring batter, panning bakery items and preparing product for baking as neededAssist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Bakery DepartmentMaintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and proceduresAssist with all other Bakery Department duties as neededMust be a minimum of 16 years of age due to required operation of bakery equipmentEagerness to interact with customersAbility to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
