Electro-Mechanical Technician
PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician in New Orleans, LA for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.The Electro-Mechanical Technician will support hands-on work across electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical equipment. This entry-level role requires at least 1–2 years of practical experience constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, or systems.Required Skills1–2 years of hands-on experience in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, optical, manufacturing, test, maintenance, or related technical work.Ability to construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.Ability to work from engineering drawings.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to operate related equipment.Ability to conduct tests and report data in the required format.Ability to perform calibration and alignment checks.Ability to make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.Ability to prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.Preferred SkillsExperience with electronic equipment, mechanical systems, electromechanical assemblies, optical systems, calibration, alignment, troubleshooting, test data reporting, component maintenance, equipment repair, and engineering drawings.What You'll DoPerform technical work across electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical areas.Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment and components.Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.Operate related test or production equipment.Conduct tests and document results in the prescribed format.Perform calibration and alignment checks.Make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions as needed.Job ID: 21513Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
