Project Delivery Consultant Sustainable InfrastructureLocation: Auburn Hills, MIA leading provider of energy and infrastructure solutions is seeking a Project Delivery Consultant to support project development and execution across a regional portfolio. This role plays a key part in the pre-construction and development phases, working closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to shape projects from early concept through contract execution and transition into delivery.This is a highly visible position responsible for estimating, planning, and developing project execution strategies, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Development & Execution PlanningLead development of project execution plans, schedules, and budgets during the pursuit phaseDetermine resource requirements and workforce planning to meet project milestonesSupport cost estimating, scheduling, and construction planning activitiesDevelop billing structures and payment schedules; assist in negotiating favorable contract termsEnsure project setup accuracy including documentation, team structure, and systems alignmentContracts, Risk & Change ManagementManage scope definition and proactively identify and control scope changesEnsure all changes are properly documented and approved prior to executionSupport contract compliance and ensure adherence to applicable codes and legal requirementsContribute to risk assessment, value engineering, and vendor selection strategiesClient & Stakeholder EngagementServe as a key liaison during project development, maintaining strong client relationshipsEstablish consistent customer touchpoints throughout the project lifecycleCommunicate project status, risks, and performance updates to leadership and stakeholdersInfluence and guide clients through complex project decisions and delivery strategiesCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with development managers, engineers, and construction teams to align project goalsCoordinate with internal business units including technology, equipment, service, and lighting groupsSupport delivery teams during installation by providing guidance on design intent and execution strategyAssist in long-term resource planning and allocation across projectsFinancial & Performance OversightSupport financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities for the regional portfolioContribute to achieving project margin, cash flow, and profitability targetsParticipate in post-project reviews and continuous improvement effortsUtilize internal tools for risk tracking, pipeline management, and project reportingIndustry & External EngagementBuild and maintain relationships within the local contracting and subcontractor communityParticipate in industry organizations and networking opportunitiesPromote high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnership developmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of progressive experience in project delivery, operations, or construction-related rolesStrong background in project estimating, scheduling, and contract developmentExperience in energy solutions, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects preferredProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex project environmentsStrong financial acumen, including cost control, margin management, and contract structuringTechnical SkillsProficiency in project scheduling tools (MS Project or similar)Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience with collaboration and document platforms (SharePoint, cloud-based systems, etc.)Familiarity with risk tracking, pipeline tools, and project reporting systemsCore CompetenciesStrong communication and presentation skills, including ability to engage executive-level stakeholdersProven ability to negotiate, influence, and build consensusStrategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environmentLeadership skills with the ability to mentor, guide, and inspire cross-functional teamsCompensationSalary range: $112,100 $168,400 (dependent on experience, skills, and market alignment)Comprehensive benefits package included
