This position supports inbound, in‑process, and final inspections while collaborating closely with production, warehouse, and quality teams. The role directly contributes to on‑time delivery, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across the value stream.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect incoming materials, in‑process components, and finished products to ensure conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standardsReview and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols (AWS & ISO standards)Perform dimensional checks using variable and attribute measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, tape measures, angle finders)Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) for new or revised productsDocument inspection results, complete QC checklists, and upload records into the Quality Management System (QMS)Support Quality Engineers, Team Leads, and Supervisors with quality‑related activities and investigationsIdentify non‑conformances, adopt an investigative mindset to detect anomalies, and report issues promptlyAssist with training newly hired QC Inspectors as neededRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in Quality Control, manufacturing, or a related fieldAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specificationsKnowledge of basic inspection tools and quality equipment, including calibration requirementsWorking knowledge of 5S/6S and OSHA safety standardsBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong attention to detail and ability to work carefully, consistently, and independentlyEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team‑based environment with cross‑functional partnersPreferredTechnical or Bachelor’s degreeLean Six Sigma Green Belt or familiarity with Lean / Kaizen principlesKnowledge of FMEA, Process Capability Studies, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA)Previous experience inspecting metal components and assembliesISO 9001 knowledge or experienceKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong sense of shared responsibility for product quality within the value streamAbility to follow instructions and established procedures with minimal supervisionAnalytical and problem‑solving mindsetWillingness to learn and continuously improveAbility to work safely in accordance with OSHA requirementsPosition Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday, 700 a.m. – 400 p.m. Schedule may change based on business needs. Overtime, weekends, and shift work may be required.TravelUp to 25% travel may be required.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment and Physical DemandsThe Quality Inspector I works primarily in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise from industrial equipment, and typical warehouse conditions.
