Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Controller role based in Portland, ME. The Controller will oversee and manage the company's financial activities, including preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Responsibilities include conducting financial analysis, managing accounts payable and receivable processes, supervising payroll, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. The Controller will also be responsible for optimizing financial processes and collaborating with leadership to support the company's strategic goals. Qualifications Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and preparing financial statementsExperience with tax compliance and regulatory requirementsStrong analytical skills for conducting financial analysis and forecastingProficiency with accounting software and tools, including ERP systemsLeadership and team management skills, with experience in managing accounting staffExceptional attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights to stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferredExperience in the manufacturing or distribution industries is a plus
