Job SummaryThe Cut to Length Assistant Operator supports the processing line and machine operations, working under the guidance of an operator, senior operator, lead, or supervisor. This role involves duties related to the setup of the line and/or machine and serves as the junior operator on the line. The position reports to the Operations Manager.Job ResponsibilitiesSetup Assistance: Help operators with line and machine setup and production processesProduct Loading: Load products onto the line or machine while adhering to safety and quality standardsNon-Conformance Notification: Report any observed non-conformances during processing to the operatorSetup Creation: Assist in the creation and adjustment of setups as requiredPackaging Support: Aid in the packaging area as neededCross-Training: Support and/or train on other lines or machines to meet business needsComputer Use: Utilize computer systems to facilitate production tasksAdditional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assignedQualificationsEducation: High School diploma or GED.Computer Experience: Experience using computers for work or schoolPhysical Capability: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 poundsExperience: Prior experience in an industrial warehouse environment is preferredMeasurement Tools: Proficient with basic measurement tools such as tape measuresInstruction Comprehension: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosSafety Adherence: Ability to follow safety and operational processes and procedures.Dependability: Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.Learning and Training: Willingness to learn new skills and train others as needed.Physical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobilityReliability: Demonstrated reliable work historyAttention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks
