Startup Co-Founder & COO (US-Based)
About EIRAWomen make up approximately half of the world's population, and every single one, without exception, will go through the immensely disruptive perimenopause and menopause transitions. Of these women, over 90% will have symptoms that impact quality of life. For generations women have suffered quietly and many disappeared from the workforce, from leadership roles, and places of influence. With increased research, knowledge is finally surfacing that vindicates what many women have always known: that from the age of 35 to 40, suddenly something seems 'off'. Yet standard, traditional lab tests are likely to remain 'normal', and medical care elusive. The shocking statistic that few seem to know is that perimenopause can last as long as a decade, and start as early as 35. We are upon a cultural sea-change where women are no longer content to vanish from the lives and careers they had been building for decades and are eager to take fuller responsibility for their health and better understand their bodies. We believe that although change is inevitable, suffering is optional. To this purpose we are developing a medical-grade, fully regulated, at-home hormone monitoring system for women: providing longitudinal data to pinpoint fluctuations, connect them to symptoms, and empower women to optimize their health accordingly, so they can continue feeling their best.
