Electrical Apprentice

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team, dedicated to maintaining and enhancing electrical systems across diverse settings. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the safety and compliance of electrical infrastructure. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including high-voltage wiring, industrial electrical systems, and commercial electrical setups. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and power tools to identify faults swiftly and effectively. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code for electrical safety) and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to electrical safety procedures and local electrical codes. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, diagnose problems with industrial or commercial equipment, and implement corrective actions. Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to perform precise electrical wiring, blueprint reading, and system upgrades or renovations. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance, NEC standards, and local electrical codes. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to complex wiring projects. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Ability to work safely with high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical wiring in various environments including construction sites and renovation projects. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial automation systems, and high-voltage wiring practices. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures, construction site protocols, and renovation processes. Construction site experience along with handyman skills is a plus for versatile project support.
