Position Type:Paraprofessionals/Teacher ParaprofessionalDate Posted:5/12/2026Location:Ashland Middle SchoolDate Available:08/19/2026Closing Date:05/20/2026Additional Information: Show/HidePOSITION:Paraprofessional I (Teacher Parapro-Special Education)Arrow Digital Academy7.5 hours Ashland Middle SchoolPosition begins August 19, 2026QUALIFICATIONS:Must have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher learning, OR hold an associate's degree, OR have passed the Teacher Parapro praxis exam.Must obtain an Educational Aide Permit with ESEA Qualifications through ODE prior to the first day of employment.Must possess experience working with children with multiple and behavioral disabilities.Some heavy lifting required.ust complete CPI and Safety & Violence Training within the first 60 days of accepting position.GENERAL DUTIES:Perform clerical duties such as recording information, filing data and preparing instructional materials as required by the teacher.Collect data on individual student progress.Assist students with their academic subjects, social skill development, and other non-academic areas as directed by the teacher. May be regular education classroom or resource room.Follow established behavior management strategies as developed by the teacher.Assist students with independent seatwork assigned by the teacher.Assist with supplementary work for students and supervise independent study.Reinforce learning with small groups while the teacher works with individual students.May often have to work with emotionally upset children.Be willing to assist students to learn self-help and hygienic skills (e.g., toileting, eating, grooming, and dressing).SALARY: Per negotiated agreementAPPLICATION DEADLINE: 3:00 pm ON Wednesday, May 20, 2026TO APPLY:Applicants may apply for this and other ACS positions by completing the application process by using AppliTrack.
