Job Summary The Director, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting is responsible for the Company's external financial reporting and technical accounting, and serves as the central coordinator of the financial reporting process. This role ensures financial statements are accurate, compliant with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, and delivered on time. Working closely with Accounting Operations, Revenue, Fleet & Shop Accounting, FP&A, and external auditors, this position ensures financial results are complete, well-supported, and aligned across a multi-entity, asset-intensive transportation business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead preparation and filing of Form 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, including ownership of consolidated financial statements and related footnotesPrepare and review technical accounting analyses and memos for complex and non-routine transactions, including acquisitions, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and impairmentMaintain and update accounting policies and ensure consistent application across entitiesOwn the overall close and reporting calendar in coordination with the Controller, ensuring alignment across Close & Consolidation, Revenue, and Fleet & Shop AccountingCoordinate the financial reporting process, including tracking deliverables, identifying bottlenecks, and escalating issues to ensure deadlines are metReview consolidated financial results and key balances to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency prior to external reportingServe as primary contact for external auditors on technical accounting matters and financial statement disclosures, coordinating quarterly reviews and annual audit activitiesSupport development of a SOX-ready reporting environment, including documentation of key controls and processesSupport accounting for acquisitions, including purchase accounting and alignment of acquired entities with Company policies and reporting structurePartner internally to ensure alignment between reported results and underlying business activityQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public company reporting and technical accountingBig 4 audit experience (Manager or Senior Manager level) preferredExperience with SEC filings (10-K / 10-Q) and multi-entity environmentsExperience supporting or exposure to acquisition accountingAbility to influence outcomes and drive accountability across teams, both with and without direct reporting and management authorityStrong written communication skills for financial reporting and technical documentationAbility to analyze complex issues and develop clear, supportable conclusionsStrong organizational skills with ability to coordinate across multiple teams and deadlinesHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracyExperience in transportation, logistics, or asset-intensive industries preferredEEO Statement All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.Compensation details: 155000-185000 Yearly SalaryPI4a6d9e601129-31181-40300468
