Job Title: Packaging Engineer 1 Location: Champaign, ILZip Code: 61820Duration: 24 MonthsPosition\"s Contributions to Work Group: - Drive global packaging alignment between six MPN facilities- Provide packaging solutions for robotic automation at MWLC- New Part Setup (packaging) for MWLC- Kit packaging setup and maintenanceTypical task breakdown:- This position requires a mix of individual task completion, participation on project teams, and reporting out to leaders.- Specifying or determining packaging specifications for high-volume material in corrugated cartons.- Ensuring quality of indirect materials.- Collaborating with shop floor employees to improve packaging of parts.- Working cross functionally with other groups to make sure packaging fulfils quality and safety needs.Education & Experience Required: - Years of experience: Bachelor\"s Degree in Engineering (don\"t necessarily require packaging experience if they have an engineering degree) or relevant industrial packaging design experience (1-2 years)- Degree requirement: Bachelor\"s Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain or relevant industrial packaging design experienceAdditional Technical Skills - Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)- Analytical thinking- Data analysis (SQL, Python, SAS, etc.)- 2D/3D design (Creo/SolidWorks/AutoCAD/etc.)
