Oncologist - Hematologic Locum Tenens Opportunity Near New London, CT We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Oncologist for a locum tenens position near New London, CT. This flexible opportunity requires coverage from ASAP to an ongoing basis, offering a chance to work in a dynamic outpatient cancer practice. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with various types of cancer, supported by an experienced team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert medical care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. Split time between two locations, ensuring consistent and comprehensive patient care. Manage a caseload of approximately 15 patients per day, with 1-2 new patients daily. Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to deliver holistic care in a 1.0 FTE environment. Limited on-call duties, approximately 1 in 5, with very light call responsibilities. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards. Schedule and Details: Schedule Type : Flexible, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Semi-flexible). On-Call : Limited, approximately 1 in 5, with very light duties. Location : Near New London, CT. Start Date : ASAP. End Date : Ongoing. Competitive compensation. Qualifications: Required : Board-Certified Medical Oncologist with a valid Connecticut license. Experience : Significant experience in outpatient cancer care is preferred. Skills : Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
