Job Title: General ManagerSalary: $150,000 per yearProperty: Seattle HouseSummary of Responsibilities:The general manager leads all aspects of property performance, including operations, financial results, and the resident experience. This role sets the tone for the on-site team, supports a strong and collaborative culture, and ensures the property is well cared for and performing at a high level.The general manager brings a balanced focus on people, operations, and results, creating an environment where residents feel at home and associates are supported in doing their best work.Primary Responsibilities and Objectives:Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing team across leasing and maintenanceProvide clear direction, regular feedback, and ongoing coachingFoster a culture grounded in accountability, respect, and serviceSupport associate engagement, growth, and retentionOversee daily operations to ensure consistency, organization, and alignment with company practicesMaintain the physical condition and overall presentation of the propertyEnsure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal requirements, including Fair Housing standardsMonitor service request completion to support timely and thorough follow-throughPrepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and reportingTrack income, expenses, and occupancy to support performance goalsIdentify opportunities to improve revenue and manage costs responsiblyUse data and reporting tools to guide decision-makingGuide leasing efforts to support occupancy and revenue goalsEnsure prospective residents receive a thoughtful and consistent experienceReview market conditions and adjust strategies as neededPartner with marketing resources to support visibility and positioningSupport a responsive and respectful experience for residentsAddress concerns with care, clarity, and timely follow-upEncourage engagement initiatives that bring people together at the propertyMonitor feedback and identify opportunities for improvementManage relationships with suppliers to support quality and efficiencyOversee property improvements and long-term asset careEnsure work is completed to standard and aligned with budget expectationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, hospitality, or a related field, preferredSeven or more years of property management experienceAt least three years of experience leading large teams (20+ associates)Experience managing large scale (400+ unit) Luxury, High-Rise, Class A propertiesStrong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and performance metricsComfortable using property management systems such as Yardi, Entrata, or RealPageSkills and Requirements:Leadership and team developmentClear and effective communicationSound judgment and problem-solvingAttention to detail and property presentationFinancial and operational awarenessScheduling:* Required to maintain a regular schedule, which may include working outside business hours, weekends, and non-traditional holidays* Ability to travel (25%)Environment:* Exposure to an environment typically found in an office buildingPhysical Requirements:Avenue5 will make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
