Join us.Role SummaryRowan is seeking a Director of Procurement to develop and implement the platform that supports and streamlines equipment procurement for data center campus and power acceleration builds. This role serves as a key connector between the Procurement team and Rowan digital infrastructure to ensure seamless delivery of DC infrastructure and power acceleration projects.In conjunction with the Sr. Director, you will develop a program to manage the procurement of power generation assets, BESS, power systems, and control topologies for power generation deployments. You'll apply your leadership skills in strategic planning, coordination, budgeting, and stakeholder alignment to manage procurement activities from planning and design through execution. This includes developing a system and hiring a team to manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs), vendor relationships, contract reviews, payment terms, and delivery coordination. You will help bridge teams and drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment.Travel: Ability to travel up to 35% to project locations and manufacturing facilities for expediting, site visits, RFP requirements, and initial delivery management.Location: Denver, CO (3 day hybrid in-office role)Compensation: $170-$215K (Offers Bonus)Essential ResponsibilitiesDevelop strategic plans and build a procurement system for power generationLead the Procurement of generation assets for RowanLead the Procurement for Electrical SWGR and associated products for the generation plantsBuild a team and platform to manage multiple power acceleration projects simultaneouslyDevelop a platform to share critical information between the key stakeholders in finance, water, energy, sustainability, construction, site origination and engineeringManage the full procurement cycle for LLE/OFCI equipment required for back up generation and on-site primary power systems, from need identification to order finalization and timely deliveryBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and rental companies to support the team with real-time market data and available assets for deploymentNegotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure optimal outcomes and returns with an emphasis on acquiring new vendor relationships to support multiple 300MW projects concurrentlyOversee the equipment procurement budget, ensuring purchases meet delivery scheduleSupport engineering in product application to conceptual electrical systemsImplement a platform to monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with service levels and timelines and ensure procurement adheres to legal, safety, and environmental standardsEducation, Skills, and ExperienceBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent relevant experienceProven sales or procurement experience in construction for a mid-to-large-scale GCBackground in data center development or large-scale infrastructure projectsExperience in paralleling generation assets and associated control topologiesExperience managing sizable projects or a portfolio of multiple initiativesExperience and reliable network in power generation supply chainsUnderstanding of paralleling Switchgear at LV and MV and the relevant suppliersExperience leading teams and developing SOPsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentPrior project management experience, with skills transferable to procurement preferredPrior Sales experience in technical sales in power systems preferredFamiliarity with hyperscale data center procurement processes preferredExpertise in managing Service Contracts with OEM suppliers preferred Fueled by Excellence & CollaborationAt Rowan, we are a distributed team united by a common mission to transform data center delivery.
