Information System Security Engineer (Firewall)

Sthenos Technologies is seeking an experienced Information System Security Engineer (Firewall) to support a long-term federal program with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA/DCMA). This is a 100% on-site opportunity in McLean, VA, supporting enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure in a high-security environment.Position DetailsLocation: McLean, VASchedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PMDuration: 3+ Year ContractWork Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance requiredResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, operate, and maintain enterprise firewall infrastructure.Manage Check Point and Fortinet firewall environments.Integrate and support defense-in-depth security technologies including:Intrusion Detection/Prevention (IDS/IPS)Network Access Control (NAC)Content FilteringEndpoint/Antivirus SecurityPerform security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.Support secure network and application architectures across multiple enterprise platforms.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues.Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards and best practices.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in network and cybersecurity engineering.Extensive hands-on experience with Check Point and Fortinet firewalls.Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) certification required.Experience with enterprise security technologies including IDS/IPS, NAC, VPNs, and content filtering.Strong understanding of secure network architecture and risk management.Active Secret Security Clearance is required.Preferred SkillsExperience supporting DoD or other federal agencies.Knowledge of NIST, RMF, STIGs, and federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks.Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.If you're an experienced firewall security engineer with enterprise experience and an active Secret Clearance, we'd like to hear from you.📩 Apply today by sending your resume to: careers@sthenostechnologies.com#CyberSecurity #FirewallEngineer #InformationSecurity #CheckPoint #Fortinet #CCSE #NetworkSecurity #SecretClearance #FederalJobs #DoD #McLeanVA #Hiring #SthenosTechnologies
