Project Manager [14282] (Sterling Heights)

We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.NOTE:OnsiteRESPONSIBILITIES:Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Lease RenewalsTrack monthly lease expirations and proactively coordinate replacement activities with owners across US/CA facilities, including renewals, extensions, and terminationsMaintain accurate records of lease terms, financials, equipment inventories, and vendor documentationWork with Purchasing buyers to analyze lease costs, rental costs and total costs of ownership and identify opportunities to reduce costsCreate financial summaries and recommendations for Material handling engineers, leadership and submit renewal projectsProvide monthly, quarterly, and annual updates to leadership on leased fleetManage equipment long-term blanket contracts (renewed 3-5 years) with corporate purchasing, testing and conduct risk assessments and support corrective actionsManage detailed technical specifications for logistics equipment (Carts, Gravity Flow Racks, Warehouse Racking, Docks, Lift, Tilt and Rotate Tables, etc.)Maintain up-to-date equipment specifications, drawings, BOMs, and process documentationMonitor existing equipment availability and propose reuses, upgrades or replacements and manage asset transfers between facilitiesEnsure all logistics equipment meets quality standards, corporate safety standards, ergonomic requirements, OSHA/MIOSHA and other regulatory guidelinesMaintain knowledge of industry standards for material handling equipmentEvaluate new technologies and recommend the right equipment based on operational needsWork closely with Internal Logistics Engineering, facilities, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to provide technical supportTrack improvements, savings, and performance metrics related to logistics equipmentProvide reports or presentations to leadership when requiredPrepare and maintain equipment documentation: specifications, installation guides, checklists, spare parts lists, preventive maintenance plansCoordinate with vendors for technical clarifications and issue resolutionREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in engineering, business management or supply chain managementMinimum 2-3 years' experience in Internal Logistics and equipment selection, installation, continuous improvement and managementGood Excel, PowerPoint and data management skills requiredWorking knowledge of powered industrial vehicles (PIV) lease and rentals, purchasing processCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:$38.00 / hour - $42.00 / hour (depending on experience)Cost-sharing medical & dental benefits after 30 days401K plan after 90 daysMEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
