Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Mound City, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,627 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant Profession: Physical Therapist Assistant Specialty: Long Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours M-F Experience: 1 year of PTA experience, Long Term Care or Rehabilitation Experience License: Active State Licensure Certifications: PTA license required Must-Have: LTC or Rehab experience, Current PTA license Description: Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including but not limited to manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices. Assesses patient progress and communicates with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record. Reports effectiveness of treatment outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides input to the supervisor for discharge summary of services provided. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided. Participates in required meetings including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings. Participates in required trainings, in-services, and conferences. Works with the supervising Physical Therapist to obtain necessary DME or supplies. Supervises and supports students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist. Adheres to professional practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
