Employment Type:Part timeShift:Night ShiftDescription:MLT or MLS - part-time position, Night shiftPosition Purpose:The Medical Technologist performs phlebotomy and laboratory testing. Has knowledge of the clinical significance of results, monitors and understands operation of instrumentation, and reports results accurately andrapidly.What you'll do:Performs all clinical testing in assigned department.Records and reports test results accurately and promptly.Performs and interprets quality control testing following established guidelines.Maintains a high level of quality assurance.Practices established safety procedures, including Universal Precautions and proper use of safety equipment.Able to recognize a problem by following prescribed strategies and make necessary corrections.Where no present criteria for decisions are available, will consult with supervisor/manager.
