Armed Security Officer - Evening

Location: Frisco, CO 80443 Job Type: Full-Time Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday | 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM (40 Hours Per Week) Join Our Team Citadel Security USA is seeking a Full-Time Armed Transit Security Officer to support public transportation operations in the Frisco area. This position focuses on maintaining a safe environment for passengers, transit employees, contractors, and visitors while protecting transit-related facilities and assets. This opportunity is ideal for a security professional who is observant, dependable, and comfortable working in a public-facing environment where professionalism and sound judgment are essential. Key Responsibilities Transit Security OperationsPatrol transit centers, passenger loading zones, bus stops, and designated transportation facilitiesMaintain a visible armed security presence to promote safety and discourage unauthorized activityMonitor public areas for suspicious behavior, safety concerns, policy violations, or security risksAssist in maintaining orderly operations throughout assigned transit locationsConduct routine inspections of transit property, equipment, and surrounding areas Incident Response & Public SafetyRespond to security-related incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in accordance with established proceduresAssess developing situations and take appropriate action while maintaining professionalismCoordinate with supervisors, transit personnel, emergency responders, and local authorities when necessaryReport hazards, maintenance issues, and safety concerns that could impact passengers or employeesSupport emergency evacuation or incident-management procedures when required Access Control & Facility ProtectionHelp secure transit facilities, operational buildings, and restricted-access areasMonitor entrances, exits, and designated security-sensitive locationsVerify authorized access where applicable and report unauthorized entry attemptsObserve facilities for signs of vandalism, tampering, theft, or property damageAssist with facility security measures during operational and after-hours periods Documentation & CommunicationPrepare clear, accurate, and timely incident reportsComplete daily activity logs and security documentationCommunicate important updates and observations to supervisors and transit representativesMaintain detailed records of patrol activity, incidents, and operational concernsFollow all company policies, client directives, and site-specific procedures Qualifications RequiredMeet all Colorado requirements for armed security personnelAbility to legally carry a firearm while performing assigned duties in accordance with company policy and applicable lawsValid driver's license and reliable transportationStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to interact professionally with passengers, employees, and members of the publicReliable attendance and commitment to a consistent weekday scheduleExcellent observation skills and sound decision-making ability PreferredPrevious experience in armed security, military service, law enforcement, corrections, or patrol operationsExperience working in customer-facing or public transportation environmentsKnowledge of incident reporting and security documentation practicesAbility to remain calm and professional during stressful situationsFamiliarity with public infrastructure, municipal facilities, or transit operations Work EnvironmentCombination of indoor and outdoor assignments throughout the shiftRegular interaction with passengers, transit operators, contractors, and visitorsFrequent walking, standing, and movement between transit locationsExposure to varying weather conditions during outdoor assignmentsFast-paced environment requiring continuous awareness and attention to detailPotential overtime opportunities based on operational needs Equal Opportunity Employer Citadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
