Aircraft Technician

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate nut forming machinesCycle machines through settings and make necessary adjustments for timing and clearances between moving partsPosition and secure heading wire onto the stock feeding mechanismAdjust tooling and transfer fingers at each forming stationStart machines, observe operation, and inspect first‑run and sample parts to ensure conformance to specificationsInspect parts using micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instrumentsRead blueprints and job orders for dimensions, tolerances, quantities, and tooling requirementsPerform record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follow all safety regulationsSuggest process improvement ideasUse the 3‑pan system throughout production runsEvaluate and communicate machine conditions or concerns to maintenance and supervisionEducation and/or ExperienceWorking experience in a fastener manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of nut forming machinery and proceduresAbility to inspect parts using a variety of inspection instruments; knowledge of SPC preferredMinimum of five (5) years of experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
