AC Hotel Banquet Prep Cook
DescriptionThe Banquet Prep Cook is responsible for carefully and safely preparing food according to direction and as ordered by the server. The Banquet Prep Cook will help to maintain a safe a welcoming kitchen environment through performing general cleaning and maintenance of food and beverage prep areas. Ensure food safety by dating and rotating food containers, safely storing perishables, and maintaining a sanitary work environment.Job ResponsibilitiesHave a thorough knowledge of the menu.Maintain and strictly abide by State sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements.Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.Prepare and cook foods of all types.Accommodate any special requests made by a guest or offer appropriate alternatives.Perform opening and closing procedures.Perform any other duties as requested by management.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in food preparation and handlingEnglish fluency requiredCertification of previous training in food service a PLUSMust be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends and holidaysWilling and able to stand/walk for entire shiftPossess basic reading, writing and math skills
