About the role Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking a skilled and motivated Culinary Supervisor to support daily kitchen operations and ensure the consistent execution of our culinary standards across service periods. This role plays a key part in maintaining organization in the kitchen, supporting team leadership, and ensuring quality and efficiency during food preparation and service.
What you'll do Supervise kitchen team members during prep and service to ensure efficient workflow and consistent execution
Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating according to established recipes and presentation standards
Support Chefs with daily production planning and station organization
Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation to ensure brand standards are met throughout service
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
Help train and onboard new kitchen team members on procedures and standards
Maintain organization of workstations, walk-ins, and storage areas
Assist with inventory management, product rotation, and minimizing food waste
Communicate clearly with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth service execution
Qualifications 2+ years of professional kitchen experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and sanitation standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Culinary training or degree preferred but not required with relevant experience
