It features a public restaurant, Judd's and Jackson's at Spring Mill, renowned for its American Contemporary cuisine.Job Title: Controller Location: Spring Mill Country ClubCompany: Privately Owned Country ClubPosition Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of our privately owned country club. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, while supporting the club’s leadership team in strategic decision-making. Given the size of our club, this position is hands-on and includes direct involvement in member financial services and day-to-day cash oversight.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and/or manage all core accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash managementReconcile monthly all bank/credit card accounts·        Process and remit monthly sales tax filings; review payroll tax filings to ensure accuracy and timely complianceCreate, maintain, and update account schedules and supporting reconciliationsMonitor payroll processing for accuracy, including wages, deductions, and tax withholdingsAudits petty cash fundPrepare timely and accurate monthly financial statementsDevelop and manage the annual budget and ongoing financial forecastsMonitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations to managementMaintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard club assetsCoordinate audits and work with external accountants and advisorsEnsure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and reporting requirementsSupervise and mentor accounting staffCollaborate with department heads to improve financial processesManage capital expenditure tracking and long-term financial planningMember & Club-Specific ResponsibilitiesOversee and process membership billing, including dues and member chargesMonitor and actively collect on past-due member accounts in a professional mannerInvestigate and resolve member charge disputes in coordination with club departmentsMaintain strong member relationships while upholding financial policiesEnsure accuracy and reconciliation of point-of-sale and member account systemsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)5–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership responsibilities
