We not only reward you financially but give you challenging assignments and a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.Our people have helped us stand out as a leading general contracting organization, which is why we are always looking for new talented individuals who can bring innovative solutions and thinking to every project.We are seeking experienced Project Engineers.Salary $75.000.00 - $90,000.00We offer an excellent benefits package including:Medical, Vision and Dental401(K)401(k) matchingLife and disability insurancePaid time off and company holidaysEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveReferral programTuition reimbursementVision InsuranceWillingness to travel: Up to 50%Responsibilities:Provide support and technical assistance to the Project Superintendent and Project Manager of designated/assigned project.Support and technical assistance includes, but is not limited to: Aid in proper distribution/organization of information and contract documents, project material(s) and product(s) quality control and verification, submittal/RFI field draft/coordination and verification, engineering and shop drawing review and field verification, support/verification of subcontractor activities and scope,Engineer of Record and Architect of Record coordination (as deemed necessary), etc. to ensure WPC standards are set, maintained, and verified.Assist Estimator, Project Executive, and Project Manager in estimating, bidding, and negotiating projects, as necessary.Pre-construction activities with Owner and Consultants, including attending design meetings, conceptual estimating, Value Engineering, and schedule/construction strategies.Evaluate bids to determine the most qualified bidder for each scope of work or material need using proper policies and procedures.Negotiate the terms and value of the contracts with the subcontractor or supplier as required. Draft and prepare scope of work terms and schedule of values for subcontracts and purchase orders and ensure a timely flow of accurate information is forwarded to the field staff and subcontractors.Review and analyze superintendent's weekly schedule updates and coordinate with necessary parties to build an accurate forecast of the activities for the next two-weeks.Identify key activities or costs to monitor and improve on for the following month.Draft and track subcontractor change orders, owner change orders, and field purchase orders.Provide field staff with proper information of negotiated terms and agreements on subcontracts to ensure terms are met and agreements are fulfilled.Assist and support warranty department as required.Maintain liaison with Job Cost Accountant and keep them informed of financial situations for all projects.Reports directly to the Project Manager with indirect reporting relationship to Project Superintendent while on project.Position will have daily contact with the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Suppliers/Vendors, and Subcontractors; with contact with Project Executive, Safety and Risk Manager/Director, Project Accountant(s), and Owner as needed. Must be courteous, professional, discrete, and diplomatic with all correspondence.Responsible for the coordination and verification of various quality control aspects in direct support and technical assistance of the Project Superintendent and Project Manager. Coordination and verification will be related to components and resources of designated/assigned project; including: all Subcontractors, Suppliers, Vendors, equipment, materials, and documents.Qualifications & ExperienceCollege degree (Construction Management, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent construction/technical experience -- 6 years minimum experience.Good written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of construction methods and materialsGood negotiation and conflict resolution skillsThe above listing is a representation of the duties involved for this position.
