Immigration Attorney
Title: Immigration Attorney (Business Immigration)
Location: Dallas, TX and/or Houston, TX (Hybrid options available)
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experiencedImmigration Attorney to join its growing Business Immigration practice in Dallas and/or Houston. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base ranging from mid‑sized companies to large multinational organizations, supporting both immigrant and nonimmigrant visa matters. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in employment‑based immigration, excellent client management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage a full caseload of employment‑based immigration matters, including both nonimmigrant visas (H-1B, L-1, TN, E-2/E-3, O-1, H-2B) and immigrant petitions (PERM, I-140, EB-1, EB-2, NIW)
Oversee and prepare complex casework from initiation through filing, including RFE responses, audits, and appeals as needed
Partner directly with corporate clients, HR teams, and key stakeholders to provide strategic immigration guidance aligned with business objectives
Advise clients on compliance matters, including I-9, work authorization, and evolving immigration regulations
Supervise and mentor paralegals and junior team members to ensure high‑quality work product and timely case progression
Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to support cross‑functional client needs
Stay current on changes in immigration law, policy, and adjudication trends, providing proactive insights to clients
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership (TX preferred or ability to waive in)
3+ years of experience practicing business immigration law within a law firm environment
Demonstrated experience handling both immigrant and nonimmigrant visa matters independently
Strong experience preparing and responding to USCIS Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and complex filings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client‑facing mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with high‑volume corporate immigration programs
Familiarity with case management systems and immigration tracking tools
PERM and audit experience strongly preferred
