Senior Electrical Engineer (Note that travel to Military Bases Required)Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and engineering efforts for complex federal and industrial projects. The role requires a licensed Professional Engineer with deep experience applying Federal Design Standards to power distribution, building systems, and specialty infrastructure. The Senior Electrical Engineer will deliver high-quality designs, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, coordinate multi-discipline teams, and support project delivery from concept through construction and closeout.Key ResponsibilitiesLead design and engineering of electrical systems for federal buildings, industrial facilities, and fuel-related infrastructure, including power distribution networks, emergency and standby power, lighting, grounding, and controls.Apply and enforce Federal Design Standards, applicable building codes, safety codes, environmental regulations, and DoD requirements where applicable.Prepare calculations, specifications, single-line diagrams, load analyses, and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Plant3D, Revit, SolidWorks, and other drafting tools as appropriate.Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and vendor documentation; perform QA/QC reviews and technical evaluations.Perform site visits and construction oversight to verify compliance with design intent, resolve technical issues, and support commissioning and closeout activities.Coordinate with architects, civil and mechanical engineers, contractors, and client representatives to integrate electrical systems with overall project objectives and schedules.Manage project scope, schedule, and budget; lead project meetings, prepare reports, and maintain project documentation.Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff, fostering adherence to engineering principles and best practices.Support client management activities, prepare proposals and scopes of work, and contribute to business development for federal and industrial markets.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree required.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.7+ years of progressively responsible electrical engineering experience, with demonstrated senior-level design and project leadership.Demonstrated experience applying Federal Design Standards and working on federal building projects; DoD project experience is highly desirable.Strong background in power distribution networks, electrical system design, load calculations, grounding, arc flash analysis, emergency power, and building systems.Familiarity with construction methods, building codes, zoning regulations, safety codes, and environmental regulations relevant to federal and industrial projects.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant3D, Revit, SolidWorks, and technical drafting practices.Experience with client management, preparing submittals, conducting site visits, and coordinating with contractors during construction and commissioning.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving capability, and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.Experience in the industrial sector and fuel-related infrastructure is a strong plus.BenefitsCompetitive Base Salary based on experienceBonus of 5-10%PTO401K with 4% company matchMedical | Dental | Vision Email Your Resume In Word ToJenn.Parrella@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
