Job Title: Senior Process Engineer – Skid Systems (Synthesis / Buffer Prep)Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid, 1 week/month on-site)Contract Type: 12-month W2-only contractAbout the Role:We are seeking a skilled Senior Process Engineer to act as the Owner’s Representative during the design phase of complex synthesis and buffer prep/hold skid systems on a major GMP capital project.This role will focus on providing hands-on process engineering oversight, ensuring vendor designs meet operational, cleanability, and GMP requirements. You will be heavily involved in reviewing P&IDs, general arrangements, and 3D models, through to FAT planning and design closeout.Key Responsibilities:Act as the process engineering lead and Owner’s Representative for vendor design reviews on synthesis and buffer prep/hold skid systemsReview and provide clear, actionable feedback on P&IDs, 3D models, and general arrangementsSupport FAT planning, pre-FAT reviews, and documentation closeoutEnsure designs meet operability, maintainability, and GMP standardsCollaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve design queries and keep deliverables on trackQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical process engineering, equipment design, or commissioningProven experience working with skid-based systems (synthesis and/or buffer prep, vessels, transfer panels, CIP integration)Experience acting as a User or Owner’s Representative on capital equipment packagesFamiliarity with vendor design reviews and GMP documentation standardsStrong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environmentContract Details:12-month W2-only contractHybrid working: 1 week per month on-site in Indianapolis, IN
