Software Engineer

Job Title: Software Engineer (AI-Enabled Development)Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite in Baltimore, MD (local candidates strongly preferred)Role Overview We’re looking for smart, curious Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineers who are genuinely passionate about AI and love using it to increase their productivity. You’ll build modern loan origination features while leveraging agentic AI tools (like Claude and HIVE) to work faster and smarter in a fast-paced Agile environment.What You’ll DoBuild and maintain web-based applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and Angular Develop features for our next-generation loan origination platform with GraphQL (Apollo), Camunda, Kafka, and AWS Write clean, testable code and automated tests every sprint Actively use agentic AI tools to accelerate development, catch gaps, and improve quality Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software Continuously learn and apply new AI techniques to boost your own (and the team’s) output What We’re Looking For2–5 years of hands-on software engineering experience (or strong equivalent from internships/bootcamps) Proficiency with TypeScript/Node.js and modern web development (Angular is a plus) Experience with relational databases (Postgres preferred) and cloud platforms (AWS) Genuine excitement for AI tools — you actively use Claude, Cursor, or similar to increase your work and can clearly explain how you do it Strong curiosity, fast learning ability, and a “learning by doing” mindset Comfortable in a collaborative, high-energy Agile environment Local to Baltimore area and able to work onsite 2 days per week Nice-to-HavesExposure to GraphQL, Kafka, or Camunda Any experience with CI/CD, Terraform, or GitHub Actions Interest in coaching/being coached as part of a high-growth junior talent experiment This is a fantastic opportunity for hungry, AI-curious engineers to join our clients Catalyst transformation and grow quickly with heavy AI support and strong mentorship.
