You will manage and guide a team of data migration consultants and analysts, ensuring high-quality delivery across all migration phases—from assessment and design through mock loads, cutover, and go-live support.You will act as the primary point of contact for all data migration–related activities, engaging directly with business SMEs, SAP functional leads, technical teams, and program leadership. Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Delivery LeadershipOwn the end-to-end data migration delivery, from initial assessment to post–go-live stabilization, in close collaboration with the Project Manager.Lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated data migration team, allocating work, tracking progress, and ensuring delivery against agreed milestones.Establish governance, cadence, and controls for all data migration activities.Experience in SAP Business domains and relevant knowledge of data migration in SAP domains.Data Migration Strategy & PlanningDefine and drive the overall SAP data migration strategy, including object-level approaches, sequencing, and dependency management.Develop and maintain migration plans, timelines, and load strategies aligned with the broader program roadmap.Ensure alignment of migration activities with SAP functional design and business process requirements.Data Analysis, Mapping & Design GovernanceOversee analysis of legacy source systems and validation of target SAP data models.Review and approve data mapping documents, transformation rules, and business logic.Facilitate workshops with business SMEs to confirm data requirements, cleansing rules, and ownership.Execution Oversight & Quality AssuranceGovern data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and load activities.Ensure robust data quality controls, reconciliation methods, and audit trails are in place.Lead defect triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution during migration cycles.Testing, Cutover & Go-Live ReadinessLead planning and execution of mock loads, dress rehearsals, and production cutover activities.Coordinate closely with testing, functional, and technical teams to validate data readiness.Support go-live and hyper care periods to ensure data stability and business continuity.Stakeholder & Client ManagementServe as the onsite Data Migration authority, providing clear and confident communication to client stakeholders.Prepare and present migration status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to program leadership.Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and escalations related to data readiness and delivery.Compliance, Security & GovernanceEnsure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards throughout the migration lifecycle.Enforce best practices for documentation, access controls, and data handling. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.10+ years of experience in data migration and data transformation programs, with significant exposure to SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA.Proven experience leading data migration teams and owning delivery in enterprise-scale programs.Strong hands-on understanding of SAP data objects (master and transactional) and cross-module dependencies.Prior experience delivering large SAP programs for automotive or manufacturing clients.Experience working in global delivery models with onsite and offshore teams.Extensive experience with data analysis, mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover execution.Advanced SQL and strong data analysis capabilities across large, complex datasets.Excellent client-facing skills, including executive-level communication and presentation.Ability to operate onsite in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
