Field Engineer - Bridge Construction

Job DescriptionField Engineer - Bridge ConstructionWe are seeking a Field Engineer with experience in bridge construction to support field operations on complex infrastructure projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field crews to ensure work is executed safely, accurately, and in alignment with project plans and specifications.Key Responsibilities:Support daily field operations on bridge construction projects (DOT, highway, structural)Interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accurate installationPerform layout, surveying, and field measurementsTrack quantities, production, and progress in the fieldAssist with scheduling, sequencing, and coordination of subcontractorsPrepare RFIs, submittals, and as-built documentationMonitor quality control and ensure compliance with project standardsEnforce safety protocols and support site safety initiativesCoordinate with project management, inspectors, and client representativesQualifications:2-6+ years of experience in heavy civil or bridge constructionBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferredExperience with bridges (steel, concrete, girder, or segmental) strongly preferredAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with DOT standards and proceduresStrong organizational and communication skillsProficiency in construction software (Bluebeam, Procore, HCSS, or similar) is a plusWillingness to work in the field and travel as neededCompensation & Benefits:Competitive base salary (based on experience)Performance-based bonus opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPTO and paid holidaysPer diem and travel support (if applicable)Please reach out to me ASAP at mitchell.guerrieri@gogpac.com for further information!
