Precision Analytical (PA) is the creator of the DUTCH Test, an innovative hormone test that creates better tools for healthcare professionals to explore hormone issues with their patients. This position is located in McMinnville, Oregon, in the beautiful Willamette Valley. We are seeking candidates who can work in a hybrid role effectively from both a home office and our McMinnville office (minimum of two days per week).

Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Vice President of Technology serves as the company’s senior-most technology executive and is accountable for all enterprise technology decisions, outcomes, and risks. This role defines and executes Precision Analytical’s technology strategy to support growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and long-term scalability, ensuring that technology is a strategic asset that enables market-leading customer experiences and reliably supports laboratory and business operations.
As Precision Analytical continues to scale, this role is expected to expand in scope and responsibility, with the potential to evolve into the Chief Technology Officer position. In this future state, the role would carry expanded accountability for long-term technical vision, external technical leadership, and technology-driven differentiation.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Technology Strategy & Architecture
Define and execute the enterprise technology strategy aligned with Precision Analytical’s long-term business objectives
Own the enterprise application, data, and integration architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
Make forward-looking decisions on platforms, infrastructure, and build-versus-buy strategies
Develop and maintain a rolling three-year technology investment roadmap
Ensure technology decisions support both current operational needs and future growth
Executive Leadership & Governance
Serve as a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to company strategy and annual business planning
Establish and oversee technology governance across initiatives, projects, and services
Partner cross-functionally to identify, evaluate, and prioritize business initiatives requiring technology enablement
Track, measure, and report on technology initiative progress, outcomes, and return on investment
Provide executive-level technology insight to support strategic growth initiatives, partnerships, and potential M&A activity
Technology Delivery, Operations & Enablement
Oversee IT operations, enterprise systems, data management, reporting, and business intelligence
Ensure technology platforms reliably support laboratory operations, customer engagement, and internal productivity
Drive continuous improvement of internal processes, workflows, and service delivery
Lead business process automation initiatives to reduce manual effort, cost, and operational risk
Information Security, Risk & Compliance
Own and lead the company’s Information Security Program
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and industry requirements, including CLIA, HIPAA, and PCI
Establish and enforce technology policies, standards, and controls
Own enterprise technology risk management, including resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity
Partner with compliance, legal, auditors, and regulators as required
Financial & Vendor Management
Own the technology budget, forecasting, and budget-to-actual reporting
Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and technology partners
Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management
Team Leadership & Talent Development
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing internal and external technology organization
Recruit, mentor, and retain technical and non-technical talent
Establish clear accountability, career development paths, and performance expectations
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence
Communicate technology strategy, priorities, and progress across the organization
Innovation & CTO-Level Readiness
Own the long-term (5+ year) enterprise technology vision
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies including AI, automation, and advanced analytics
Partner with leadership to leverage technology as a source of competitive advantage
Represent Precision Analytical as the senior technical leader with customers, partners, and auditors
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Health Sciences, or a related field
15+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles
Demonstrated experience overseeing software development, enterprise systems, data platforms, and IT operations
Experience defining and executing enterprise technology strategy and roadmaps
Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, packaged implementations)
Experience operating in regulated environments; healthcare, laboratory, or diagnostics experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for executive and non-technical audiences
Experience applying emerging technologies, including AI, in real-world business contexts
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across all levels of the

Work Environment
This position is located in an office environment with frequent use of a computer and related hardware. A person must be able to stand and/or sit; see, hear and talk; use hands to type, handle or feel tools or controls; use hands and arms to reach. Occasionally lifting/moving up to 20lbs is also required. Travel may be required to Precision Analytical locations, partner sites, and meetings.
